This cutting edge workshop is for physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and chiropractors interested in changing posture and alleviating symptoms. This unique course targets the specific anatomy and biomechanics related to the mid spine, ribs, sternum, clavicle, and shoulder joints, through the layers of the thoracic inlet. Students will review the tools for evaluating the shoulder driver function; range of motion, related muscle strength and muscle motility, related sensation and proprioception, tissue tension, organ mobility and motility, listening, pressure scans, and inhibitory balance testing. Break through Manual Structural Correction (MSC) for the joints, ligaments, and three layers of the thoracic inlet are presented and practiced in a supervised lab practicum, that will include fascial principles, muscle energy principles, positional principles, tissue tension principles and crush principles. Utilizing the newest techniques in MSC, tissue tension and pinching are addressed. Participants will be trained in both the roll and the recoiler, as well as vestibular mobilization and connection to shoulder driver joint receptors for optimal proprioception. Advanced manual intervention for bone bruise, scar tissue and weakened tissue will be introduced and practiced during supervised lab practicum. Applications for various patient populations will be discussed during the student question and answer session on the final day.

This ‘Same Diagnosis’ documentation must be unquestionable that the student’s diagnosis is the same as the workshop’s title and must be received with the student’s registration, confirmation and payment.
