Dr. Morgan Oakes, PT, DPT is a licensed physical therapist who began working at Leger Physical Therapy when the clinic opened in December 2019. She graduated from James Madison University in 2015, where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Health Sciences, with a minor in Substance Abuse prevention. While at JMU, Morgan was employed at the university gym as a group fitness instructor and Kinesiology teaching assistant. This is where her passion for exercise and fitness began, and ultimately paved the way for a career in physical therapy.

 

Following her undergraduate studies, Morgan attended Nova Southeastern University and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2019. She graduated with high honors and was nominated for Alpha Eta Society, a national honor society for health Professions. Since starting her career, she has completed continuing education coursework including Dry Needling I, Dry Needling II, and Clinical Athlete’s “Pain Science and What You Need to Know.”

 

In her free time, Morgan enjoys spending time with her husband, Clay, and their dog, Delilah. Together, they enjoy working out, trying new restaurants, and binge watching Netflix
